Project JCT SHARAN is our aged home with we propose to build in Mumbai to respond to the needs of poor, frail, neglected, deprived and isolated elder’s at home and who have been forcibly thrown out by their own children or abandoned.
JCT SHARAN aims at providing a Home filled with love, protection and care for the less fortunate members of society irrespective of caste, colour and creed, so the old and infirm can find joy and peace in the last days of their life. The Home will see to it that none of their needs to unmet.
They will be given regular medical treatment with the help of trained nurses and doctors. The Aged and Infirm will also enjoy the cultural fare and recreational facilities provided by the Home.
Currently we are working with the government authorities to provide us land on which we can establish the Home. The home would cater to Old People who have been ill-treated and left as destitute by their families. This home will have a green house, nursery that will be looked after by the Inmates. By this they would generate an income to support the home; this will help and instill in them a sigh of self-respect. SHARAN would cater to Old People who have been ill-treated and left as destitute by their families. The home would use the skills of these people by which they would generate an income which would take care of their expenses without being dependant on any person this would help and instill in them a sign of self-respect.
The home would also cater to Old people who are to be looked after for a short time, as their families do not wish them to be alone when they go on holidays abroad. Everyone suffers if the wisdom and experience of elders are ignored rather than valued by society as a powerful resource.
